New Lighting System in Motion Controls Robotics' Facility Reduces Electricity Consumption by 60%

At Motion Controls Robotics, Inc. we are constantly seeking way to become more cost effective as a manufacturer of integrated robotic systems. We are doing our part to be ecologically responsible as well.
For example, we recently changed out all of the metal halide lighting fixtures in our 60,000+ square foot factory with Cool Running™ T5HO florescent lighting technology lighting from I-BEAM. This high bay lighting system will reduce our electricity consumption by up to 60%, and at the same time improve the working environment for our employees. These lamps are TCLP compliant, simplifying recycling compared to the metal halide lamps we replaced. The new fixtures incorporate occupancy sensors to further reduce electricity consumption. Longer lamp life will reduce the labor cost for us to maintain our lighting.
